We cruised around Puna to look for locations appropriate for his love of his culture.

Creepy but cool story. We cruised red road and stopped at a secluded beach (NO, NOT THAT ONE!). As we strolled the shore, we saw words spelled out with white rocks/sand. We thought it would be cool to spell out Kaulana’s name. But, someone already beat us to it. Truly creepy:
